So I'm not a fan of buffets because I feel like they just make bulk food that doesn't really taste good. Plus the food sits out. I understand it's kept heated up but it's a big turnoff for me for mountains of food to sit out for long periods of time while customers greedily scoop slolops (not sure this is a word) of food. My guess is there are huge amounts of MSG because as soon as I stepped out, I instantly felt like passing out. I came to this beauty (insert sarcasm) of a buffet after a nieces high school graduation. I didn't have breakfast so a buffet actually sounded like a good idea at the time. Now that it's over, I wished I didn't come. Throw out all my workouts last week at Foundry. I'm stuffed and feel kinda gross. So, it's the typical Chinese buffet (yeah it's called Tokyo) but does have some Japanese food as well. Basically everything you can think of is here. Sushi, sweet sour ribs, and Hometown Chinese favorites like bourbon chicken is here! Bourbon chicken? Lol Chinese restaurants sure do know how to market to Americans! The food in general was not great and not horrible. Fried rice was super bland. The rest of the food wasn't terrible. It filled me up after a couple of plates. Hey you may like it, but again I'm not a buffet fan so take my word lightly. The Good: - you want fried chicken, pizza, fried rice, sushi, and wonton soup all in one place? Every food imaginable is here, so you have a vast selection. - great for big groups of hungry grubbers - custard is pretty decent The Bad: - you want fried chicken, pizza, fried rice, sushi, and wonton soup all in one place? So the downside is that their are too many choices that nothing stands out. Also your forced to get your money's worth and attempt to eat everything.

Ummm nothing special about a buffet. But I did feel it was overpriced. $45 will get u two meals and two sodas on a Fri. The crabs had absolutely NO flavor. The fried rice was nasty. I mean how do u mess that up. They have a chocolate fountain, but I saw too many kids unsupervised and double dipping. The ribs are good and the bourbon chicken. Other than that I was not impressed and will not return. A waste of money.

This place is a 3.5 but I'm rounding down for inconsistency. It has a good selection, so there is something for everyone, but quality of the food is inconsistent. Some items were really good but there were also items that were not so good. The seating and buffet line does look more upscale than the typical Asian buffets, which is good because this place markets itself as such. I went with a large party (+10) for dinner and the restaurant has a lot of seating to accommodate large parties. Tip was included already when we paid (they do this for large groups). When they seat you, they want you to show them the receipt so they know how many people are in the party and who ordered a beverage. They have a small sushi bar but if you're a sushi noob like me, not all of the rolls were labeled so I just stuck with the familiar ones. They didn't do a good job of keeping the rolls stocked, usually when I went up there most of the plates were empty or there'd be 1-2 pieces left. They have raw oysters which were fresh (not fishy at all). They also had shrimp and crabs, if you don't mind getting your hands dirty and peeling them. The crabs are on the small side. They have salmon and other fish dishes, rice, lomein, a row of soups, American food (pizza, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, French fries, etc.), and other typical Asian dishes like General Tso's chicken, beef and broccoli, chicken and mushrooms, teriyaki chicken kebab (dry), and sweet and sour chicken. I really liked the cheese rangoons (my favorite!), fried rice, coral scallops, bourbon chicken, and Korean spare ribs (nice and tender). While I liked the coconut shrimp, not all of the shrimps were cleaned thoroughly. They have a whole station dedicated to fried foods (fried oysters, fried chicken, French fries, fried fish, Chinese doughnuts, frog legs). My doughnut wasn't fresh so I didn't like it. They also have a couple dim sum options in the corner by the hibachi grill, but they weren't that good - on the dry side and they looked like they had been sitting there all day. The hibachi grill - amazing! You grab a plate, fill it with whatever you want (chicken, beef, shrimp, scallops, egg, rice, noodles, veggies) and they'll cook it for you on the spot. The scallops are chopped up super tiny, though. Great dessert selection - chocolate cake, carrot cake, cheesecake, fruits, sesame balls, a chocolate fountain, banana pudding, some jello type thing, cookies, egg tarts (these are by the dim sum, but I would skip them because they were dry and overcooked), and a freezer full of ice cream (individual serving cups of chocolate, vanilla, and sherbet, plus ice cream sandwiches and Popsicles). Service was so-so. They are attentive when you first get seated and get your drink orders. They are also quick to clear away your finished plates. However, if you want a refill for your drinks we had to wave them down (and the place wasn't even that crowded). Overall, I had a good experience here, there's a good variety, it lives up to the name, and I would go back due the hibachi grill alone.

Pretty good for an all you can eat buffet. Only complaint, whole crabs were on the tiny side, therefore not much meat to be had.

Went there yesterday. It's so good. Seafood are all very fresh and tasty. Will sure come back again!

This is the buffet that I go to when I am at my Clarksville, MD home. It's the best one around that area. I eat here because I like their large buffet selection and I love their hibachi grill. The hibachi grill is interactive and entertaining, to tell you the truth. (But I'm odd like that) The buffet includes a sushi selection which I call fake sushi. Even though it's not authentic and fresh sushi it tastes decent. It's a good try at sushi. They also offer a oyster selection during dinner and weekends. The oysters are pretty good. It's clear they are not fresh out of the sea, but they are good for a Buffet oyster selection. I like to eat here with my family cause we like to eat a lot together. #fatstatus with my family.... ***They offer a military discount, but only for active military members.

This is an awesome buffet. The most positive things about this place is the taste of the food and the constant sense of abundance. I never feel like there isn't enough of something there. They are never lacking things I want. Especially, the oysters! They have soo many and the buffet seems to do a good job keeping them stocked. My favorites: 1) I love their coconut shrimp-- this is a must try. 2) They also have crawfish, which is pretty good. 3) I always get their banana cake. I crave this all the time! It has a delicious cream on top of a moist banana cake. 4) oysters! Just squeeze some lemons and a dash of cocktail sauce. I eat like two dozen oysters each time I go. Cold, tasty, and fresh. 5) I always love to get hibachi here. They have a wide range of toppings you can choose. They have noodles, eggs, shrimp on skewers, chicken, beef, scallops, bean sprouts, onions, mushrooms, and many more vegetables. All you have to do is fill your plate with everything you want. Then, you put the plate on the counter. The chef will cook the hibachi for you with a delicious sauce. You just get other stuff and you hibachi will be ready for you. Just pick it up and enjoy the yumminess. Things to try, but are not that great- 1) They have crabs. The crabs are okay, but it does not have enough meat in them and the crabs do not feel fresh, but you have to try them at a seafood buffet. Right? 2) sushi. It's okay. Ive definitely had better sushi at buffets ( sushi is my favorite thing though, so it's pretty disappointing, but I guess all the other delicious food makes up for it) Also great price even during dinner! It is very cheap for a great buffet.

I like this place, although I admit I won't eat some of their dishes, especially raw oyster and sushi. Honestly, their uncooked items don't look fresh enough to consume, so just skip it. Besides from that, the buffet line has a huge selection of tasty food to offer. My favorites are crab, steamed fish, crawfish, beef, and stir-fried veggies. Service is ok but it can be lacking during an hour before closing. Sometimes, they're very slow in refilling the buffet line. Be here early, avoid raw food, and enjoy.

  • Ericka G.

I'm gonna say it (just don't tell nobody)......My name is Ericka and sometimes, I do enjoy a good buffet. Preferably, this one. Parking here is crazy. Whoever owns Security Mall needs to repair the lot and widen the space lined out for each car to park. It's narrow so people will park diagonally or over the lines, it can get crazy. The bathrooms, yes, I will mention the bathrooms before the food. It's the fault of disrespectful uncouth customers, but it's the restaurant's responsibility to stay on it. The bathrooms can get gross. No toilet paper, toilets clogged from people using the paper towels to flush, overflowing trash cans, paper towel thrown about, inoperable toilets, water everywhere..... Not cool and it really does make you question the staff's hygiene. They need to hire someone to do just that during peak times/days. The state of the bathroom, that I've seen on more than just a few occasions, needs to cease. Completely. This buffet has a little bit of everything: Chinese, American & Japanese (habachi & sushi). My family LOVES coming here. We come here often. Even the kids. My nephews go crazy over the ice cream popscicles. It's good for groups, all holidays & special occasions. The space can be kinda tight if you have a group over 6 or 8. There is a time limit to your table so if you exceed that, you will begin to be neglected, rushed or stared at by the waitstaff. What's on my plate: steamed crab, boiled crawfish, Korean spareribs, & the flounder. Very rarely do I ever stray from that. For dessert, I get jello, orange slices or banana pudding. The pudding is not great, but sometimes..... If you close your eyes and wish, it'll kinda sorta hit the spot. What I wish they offered: teriyaki chicken on the kabob stick. I may take the teens here tonight. I may.....Writing about it, makes me crave it. Pics to come.

Although it names in Tokyo, it would be much more like Chinese style food. One of my friend loves to eat the crawfish here.

If you want the best quality and the best everything take you picky face to another place but in general the place is dope and the foods good and the service is good.

  • Chad B.

Don't be deceived by the name. Although it says "Tokyo," it's pretty similar to a typical Chinese food buffet. It has a very nice selection of sushi though - I especially liked the tuna rolls. There's a little salad bar that includes the essentials. The kalbi pork was pretty good. Otherwise, there's a large selection of the usual chicken flavors - sesame, chicken and broccoli, sweet and sour, etc., and lo mein noodles, cheese wontons, and buttered imitation crabmeat. Some other random foods are there like pizza. There's also ice cream and a good selection of desserts. If you like Americanized Chinese food and you're pretty hungry, definitely check it out.

Do not go to this place. The service is terrible and I found a worm in my oyster. Not only that, but it was a tapeworm, and ALIVE. If I had eaten that I could have gotten a nutrient sucking parasite stuck in my intestines. I asked to speak with the manager and all he did was tell me that they wash and check all of the oysters they get but its impossible to detect them inside of the shell. He wouldnt look me in the eye and just told me to PUT IT DOWN AND GET ANOTHER ONE. He didnt even apologize or offer compensation. I dont know how they misses a tapeworm sitting on the meat. It was really latched on to the oyster too. I almost ate that.

We are fairly used to so so Chinese buffets but this one tops it. There were literally cockroaches running everywhere. I have multiple pictures to prove it. My entire family had diarrhea for days afterwards. I wish the business well but I would avoid this restaurant like a plague.

Came here for lunch during a Friday since we were in the area at the Korean Spa. The place is a pay before you eat Buffet, where you pay at the cashier before being seated. This is a bit different that I'm used to, but it makes it easy to leave. We were seated and waited a while for the server to come and take our drink order. Food was okay. There is a pretty big selection, but I was most interested in the sushi. The sushi was okay for a lunch buffet. Nothing fancy, no tuna just salmon. In the seafood portion I enjoyed the salt and pepper shrimp. The ice cream is pre-packaged which makes it nice and clean, though the selection isn't too impressive to me. All in all okay. There was an altercation between a customer and the host who seated them which made it a bit awkward, even so food was decent.

It is a really really good buffet, lots of seating and huge selection of foods from sea foods to beef, chicken, appetizers, desert and Ice cream. The inside of restaurant is pretty clean and staff are friendly and nice! My friend and I went there after 8:30pm I couldn't eat too much because after I feel fool I feel sleepy so can't drive carefully back home! :~)) haha

Came here on a Monday night after not being here for about a year? I had high expectations due to my last visit, but was sort of disappointed. I actually spit out some food into a napkin :( 1) this was previously one of the only places that served SCALLOPS both in the hot dishes and hibachi. I searched high and low, even in the dessert section in case they put it in the wrong place. No scallops. Waaaaah!!!! 2) even the hot dishes were not that great. The stuff was just "ok". The sauteed spinach was a high point, the kalbi, mushrooms, and the chicken broccoli. The shrimp and sweet corn dumpling was weird. The salt & pepper shrimp was interesting but I had to spit it out due to the shell being still on it. It's encased into the batter...not practical. 3) the sushi area had this...odor. I couldn't wait to leave the area. 4) was it my imagination or...did they use to have soft serve ice cream? That was so much better. Now, they have these little prepackaged cups of ice cream that are NOT that good. Their whole dessert section was meh. I think I might go to Hibachi Grill and Supreme in Glen Burnie next time instead, because the quality of food is now similar to Tokyo Seafood Buffet (meaning, either Hibachi went up in quality, or Tokyo went down), and it costs less.

I have been to this buffet at least a dozen times since it opened. Unfortunately, while I would have given it 5 stars 2 years ago when all food was fresh and delicious, this place has turned into an unkempt, filthy, run of the mill Asian buffet hidden under nicer than average decor. The food is stale even in busy nights, waiters are rude and can't wait to get you in and out, and management doesn't care. On our latest and last visit, there was a roach in my gravy. Not a little roach (not that this would make a difference) but a huge one. Our waitress had a huge attitude about getting the manager, who took at least 10 minutes to come to the table. He then had major attitude about giving a refund. We had just sat down, and obviously nobody was going to eat anymore. He refused to refund anything but my plate. Absolutely disgusting. This place should be checked by the health department.

When I first went there last summer it was great, but no so much now. I went today with my mother and brother, and we met up with my grandparents and great grandmother. It's the pits. The waitress was nice. Was the food good? Hell no. It's just a mess in there and the bathroom is terrible. Somebody who was previously in the stall that I went in didn't even flush the damn toilet. When I finished using the bathroom, I washed my hands. The water was ice cold! No hot water coming out at all and when the water was flowing out, it stoped out of nowhere and started coming out again, finally. Never going there again. I hate buffets anyway.

For a lunch buffet this was pretty good. The food was decent and all fresh and hot. The hibachi chefs really didn't want to work but the servers were pretty good. The inside reminds you of a Vegas buffet. I was actually shocked when I got inside. Didn't try the sushi it was so many different types of food and soups. Desserts and salad. I'd go back. Price was reasonable also.

  • Samuel C.

The food is pretty good. An absolutely huge selection of food. Mostly everything is fresh. My family and I went here for the first time today. Service is hit or miss. Depending on how busy the place is, you may get good or bad service. The price are pretty decent. You get a 10% discount for senior Citizen, Military, Police/Fire. They have everything you can think of. Sushi is pretty good, But mostly the make lots of raw ones that I usually don't eat. Beware of which rolls you pick. Most of the are just imitation crab. (Same and Seafood sections). Desert are pretty good. I have some fruits/pies. I like there ice cream, But they don't have any toppings. The staff are nice and friendly.

So this restaurant isn't in the greatest location at the old Security mall which isn't very popular these days. However, its one of the better options for food in the area, and if you're going to eat a lot you can definitely get your money's worth - around $10-12 dollars per person for all you can eat. The selection of food is great, with a hibachi grill including tons of seafood and other meat, sushi, hot food, desserts, soup and an ice cream freezer full of ice cream. My personal favorites are the chinese donuts and the crab rangoon. The desserts aren't that great honestly in my opinion - but they're ok. The chocolate fountain is nice if you want to dip fruit or the chinese donuts in there. Also, not a lot of vegetables in the mix - but thats not really why we come to places like this, right?

I liked it til a roach crawled onto are table while we were eating. I kindly told a guy who I'm gonna assume was the owner and all he said was sorry and that was it....... Disgusting and never again.

Been here a number of times. Today was maybe the tenth or so. We came late, around 9pm. When we arrived, we were informed they close at 10pm. We dropped about $35 for two with a drink for myself and only water for my wife. Since it was pretty late in the evening, we didn't really expect the best quality as they were no longer filling most dishes. The hibachi grill is usually the first place my wife hits. Tonight, the quality was a bit low, but again it was getting late. She left most of the meats she selected because they were pretty tough. I stopped at the grill too and I thought mine was just ok. The rest of the buffet is typical fare. They have a pretty large selection, bigger than most. But the whole place is huge with tons of seating and a nice staff. Service-wise, I have zero complaints. They refill drinks and clear dirty dishes promptly. We were approached a couple times by a manager to make sure we knew they were closing the buffet very soon, and to ensure everything was ok. Like I said, we've been here a number of times and we'll be back again. It's one of the best buffets nearby to us with decent quality most of the time compared to other area buffets of the same genera.

I give this place four stars because this is probably the best food you can get for the price you pay. This is the best Chinese buffet I have ever. Very Authentic Chinese food and also plenty of choice for the seafood. You can get old bay seasoned crabs and also crayfish. Lamp, beef, ribs, fish, duck, oyster for the meat! And also strawberry, kiwi, water melons, mango for the fruits! And you have also a lot of choices for the sushi! But remember don't eat too much!

  • Karina B.

Overall, the meal I had here was pretty good. They had a nice selection of Chinese food that was cooked better than some other buffets in the area I've been to. The sushi bar was ok as well. I didn't get to try some of the American food they had, but I did have cheesecake and that was just ok. The restaurant itself is very nice and the server I had was attentive to our every need. I would definitely come here again if they have better desserts to try.

Tokyo buffet is different than most other gringo Chinese buffets. For one, the place is enormous with a plentiful variety of options ranging from Chinese, to sushi, to hibachi, to dim sum, to pizza, to seafood. This place feeds the masses, so the food is constantly being rotated and the ingredients are relatively fresh. The food here is also noticeably higher quality than most other all you can eat emporiums. Some dishes definitely taste better than others but for the most part the items are comparable to Chinese take out. Some notably enjoyable items in the buffet include the salt and pepper crispy shrimp, bourbon chicken, hong kong chicken, chicken and broccoli, sautéed rice noodles, Korean bulgagi, and the dim sum. I especially kept on going back for the dim sum which ranged from combinations such as pork, shrimp and mushroom, to spinach, to traditional pork gyoza. All of which were tasty and properly steamed. The salt and pepper crispy shrimp were also great - although a bit messy since you have to peel the shrimp from their shells. I typically avoid hibachi or mongolian grill stations because no matter what combination of ingredients your put in your bowl, it always comes out tasting the same. The sushi is decent though, with options including various rolls as well as sashimi. The rolls seem to change every time I go there but you can count on at least seeing a California roll, some kind of eel roll, and some kind of tuna roll. Usually the sushi chefs try to make some more exciting rolls as well, such as a rainbow roll or dynamite roll. Almost all of the rolls are small in size but a bit heavy on the rice, the restaurant does still have to make money after all. My biggest complaint here is that the name "Tokyo Seafood Buffet" is a bit misleading. Are there plentiful seafood dishes available at all times? Yes. However, after trying a few I would advise people to be cautious. Some of the items, such as the broiled salmon steaks are fine but others (like the scallop imperial) not so much. The restaurant also features 8 different kinds of soup, including shark fin soup, as well as many American dishes such as pizza and macaroni and cheese. There is also an entire section for dessert and fresh fruit, which also features a chocolate fountain. All in all, I like this place. It definitely isn't my favorite place to dine on Chinese classics but for the price and selection it cant be beat. It is MUCH better than it's competitor Hibachi all you can eat restaurants in Towson and Reisterstown. When your inner fat kid comes out - this is the place to go.

I can see why my family chose this place for a graduation dinner. Something that satisfies everyone--the highlight of this trip was the teppananki grill (you can even make your own kimchi fried rice--just take kimchi from the cold food bar & mix it with all your teppananki bar ingredients) There's a decent selection of sushi, average quality oysters, and plenty of your standard Chinese food dishes. I also liked to korean galbi. Probably one of the bigger buffets in the region.

Best hibachi and Chinese buffet ever. I went here on 4/12/2014 with my sister and our children. My son is 5 years old so it only cost 2.99 for lunch for him, 5.99 each for lunch for her twin girls, and about 10.99 each for us adults. Lunch was delicious and fresh. The buffet had long sausages, fried shrimp, pepper shrimps, grilled shrimps, fried whole crabs, chicken w/ broccoli, fried chicken, teriyaki sticks, chicken on sticks, split shrimps, fresh fish, fresh veggies, general toss chicken, sesame foods, fresh lettuce, fresh fruits and a lot more food.

Bountiful. Reasonably priced at $12 (with drinks on a Thursday afternoon if that makes a difference in pricing) Food was good. Sushi was good. Wish I had more room to try more of the dishes. The Mrs didn't see the hibachi part when we came in so she wants to go back to try that station and some more of the food we missed. So we will go back, but not too often as my waistline would explode!

For an asian buffet, this is actually pretty good. My wife and I went here for the first time today, and we were surprised by how nice the interior looked. It was certainly a good first impression. Along the far wall has the white rice, soups (I think they have 5, like hot and sour, miso, crab, clam chowder, and something else), and ice cream. Then from there, there are several small aisles of food with asian items like dumplings, a couple of dim sum items, kalbi, beef with broccoli, shrimp, fish, teriyaki chicken, green beans, spinach, sushi (maki and nigiri), and a hibachi area where the cooks make you food real-time. Then there were also american dishes such as mac and cheese, sausage, roasted chicken, corn bread, mashed potatoes, fried fish, chicken wings, etc. Of course some dessert as well. My summary is the hot food is pretty decent, but the desserts are hit and miss. The hot foods were mostly good. The salt and pepper fish was well fried and not oily at all, and similarly for their fried shrimp. The green beans and spinach were surprisingly delicious. Dumplings were over-cooked, but that's kind of expected b/c the dumpling skins are constantly being heated at the buffet table. Sushi was typical buffet quality ... not great, but passable. They did have some squid and octopus, but those items were really rubbery and overcooked. I wish I tried a couple of the american items, but i was too full to go for more food! Also, they do have kimchi, but I do not recommend their's ... it doesn't taste right (too much ginger?). The desserts were hit and miss. I was excited to see they had sesame balls and egg tarts! The sesame balls were good. Warm, slightly crisp outside with soft inside. But the egg tarts did not taste good ... there was something off putting about the filling. Anyway, I'd avoid those. There were several cakes as well that I wanted to try, but again, too full. They looked like very light and airy cakes (typical of asian place) with light cream filling rather than more denser and richer cakes. So, conclusion is I would come back when in the mood for lots of quantity and decent quality. Again, this place is pretty good for an Asian buffet. The price is good, and the interior was nice and clean. I enjoyed my meal here even with some sub-par items in their line up.

Oh man. Came here with my BFF for dinner. First, it was $30 for both of us. But they did have a lot of food to offer, including some interesting items such as shark fin soup. The food was mostly fresh, and not bad. The decor is pretty fancy though. Gotta give props to that. Then I woke up the next morning with mild food poisoning. Needless to say I won't be back.

This buffet is a bit different than your typical Chinese Ultimate Super Supreme Hibachi Teppanyaki Buffets. The interior of the place is actually pretty nice. Comfy chairs, big tables. Ambiance isn't bad considering it being a buffet. Dimmed lights. Service is hit or miss. Depending on how busy the place is, you may get good or bad service. The prices are pretty decent. Lunch being around 9 dollars and dinner being around 15. Don't remember what different foods they have between lunch and dinner. I do know that some of the foods here differ from their competitors. Lobster night. You gotta pay a bit more but you get half a lobster. Korean BBQ ribs. Raw oysters. Scallops. Crabs. Once in a while Prime rib. A bigger selection of sushi. And they have real ice cream! Everything else they have are the usual stuff you see at other places. Depending on how busy the place is the food can be fresh or not. And if you come right when it opens? Thats usually the best time to go since they've just made the food and its still fresh. Not all the foods are great. The typical Chinese foods are OK. Sushi is never great at any buffet. Some desserts are always stale because no one ever eats them. Fried foods are too heavy and sometimes seem like they need to change the oil more often. When it comes to Chinese Buffets, its hard for me to really like them. But this place is probably the best of its kind. Not amazing but good. 3.5

Service is decent, girls are cute too. They food quality is poor, except for the hibachi part where they grill it in front of you. You can tell the food has been sitting for hours. I would recommend going to a nicer sit down restaraunt and spend your money on.

The Good: An absolutely huge selection of food. The sushi there is USUALLY amazing and worth the price itself. Everything is pretty fresh. Like all sushi places, be aware of which rolls you pick. Most of them are just imitation crab. They have pretty much everything you can think of. Try the Korean bbq. The flavor is pretty good for a buffet place. Some people might find that the cut of meat is pretty tough and tendony.. but that's the way I personally like it. They actually have a legit desert bar too with a chocolate fountain. They do an excellent job keeping all of the selections out on the bar. The Bad: Place smells aweful. Like someone just threw up. Seriously... wtf is that smell?? Food is almost always room temp. Food that should be hot isnt. Food that should be cold... isnt.

I don't go with 5* very often with restaurants, but this one get 5* for VALUE, variety, and ambiance. VERY IMPORTANT to us is that the use NO MSG. For seniors from 1:30-3:00 PM, lunch can be had for $7.99 and that includes a drink, where most places charge another $1.50-2.00. The sign says Grand Opening, but I doubt that. It is in a shopping mall location with door to the outside. The food offerings are a mix. The sushi is of course "Japanese." They have a Hibachi Grill. It's what you make of it, but for my tastes that's Chinese. Then there are other standard Chinese dishes and some American dishes. At lunch you can actually get crab, and scallops on the Hibachi Grill so I loaded up with those, shrimp, and veggies--light on the noodles-- at that station. I don't recall seeing pork dishes and their meun doesn't list any. Oh yeah, they did have pork ribs, but they did look a bit cooked well. Best I can recall, I "grazed" sampling Maryland Crab Soup (2*) , dumplings (4*) haddock (5*), fried fish (4*), clams in the shell (5*), stuffed crab (3*), grilled rockfish (2*), an desserts consisted of strawberries, pineapple slices, and honeydew melon dipped in the chocolate fountain. I totally bypassed the pastry (cookies, cake, pies) desserts. I had a couple of blue crabs as well (4*). Wife had a slice of pizza (I looked at her cross-eyed) and she said it was very cheesy and excellent (5*). Who'd a thunk it. They had a few other American things I didn't try. I mean, why go American when you're in an Asian restaurant. They had a full salad bar with large shrimp on ice, mussels, and squid--I didn't even stop at that table. That was lunch, and even tho the rock fish was overcooked (in my opinion) I did see it later that day for sale at Wegman's for $21. 99/lb, so I don't know how they make money with tables predominantly filled with seafood, no pork, and one or two beef and chicken dishes. The place is nicely decorated with tables and booths. The wait staff seems busy and my water wasn't filled while we were there...that's an issue for me because I have "dry mouth." All four of us in the party were well pleased with this outing. I will post a can of their menu that shows what an awesome variety is offered, so the other items, duck, salmon, fried oysters, blue crab, lobster bisque, fried frog legs, etc.

I was EXTREMELY impressed with this buffet when I came here for lunch last Sunday, so let's just get right to it! Although my family almost never ventures to the Security Plaza area anymore, I am really glad that they brought me here. Walking in, I found the restaurant to be really big but not overwhelmingly so. The interior was pretty classy, too. I was facing this display in the wall near the ceiling that had jade (most likely fake) statuettes with little lighting. It was really nice, I liked it. Super nice servers who were very good about getting our drinks and clearing off plates. Even though it's "Tokyo" Seafood Buffet, it's Chinese-owned and the servers were able to basically respond to my Dad's Chinese. ON TO THE FOOD, which made me hyperventilate, basically. The display was very exciting for me. I made a beeline for sushi and got one of just about everything (that didn't have cream cheese in it), effectively filling half of a plate. All of it was quite tasty, quite tasty indeed. There was crunch and spicy mayo and eel sauce and avocado and crab and all my favorite fish having a par-tay in my mouth. Along with the sushi, I also got a little bowl of Maryland crab soup (!!!) and some garlic bread. They didn't have egg drop soup, which I expected but I guess they're not trying to bea Chinese establishment at all. Maryland crab and clam chowder are a VERY nice seafood-y way to make up for it. (They also had miso soup, in keeping with the Japanese cuisine trend.) My roommate complained about a lack of Chinese food, but it's not a Chinese establishment, so I wasn't really too bothered. Plus, they did have some dim sum items and the like, so I was a pretty happy camper. I loved all the food, there was a really good amount of seafood (which there better have been, for a "seafood buffet"), and the variety of stuff offered was awesome. What got me SUPER excited was the delectable looking desserts. In addition to a bunch of yummy fresh fruits and tasty cakes offered, there were bamboo skewers and a CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN. When I saw that fountain, I finished my food so fast so that I could go skewer some strawberries and dip them in. Oh my goodness, yay. Chocolate fountains are just so much fun, don't you agree? Messy, but so much fun. So, I came in not knowing what to expect and I had an absolutely AMAZING time here. I just could not stop raving while I was eating and sitting and ogling that fountain. (There is a small chance I fell in love with that fountain. Oops.)

I can see how this buffet is a real bargain for lunch. We went for dinner buffet. Sushi at a buffet is always the same. If you like seafood then this buffet has sushi, raw bar, and some cooked average Chinese food dishes- most people come for oysters, clams, shrimp, etc. I'm a little leery of somewhat fresh seafood in a buffet so I didnt try. We also didn't try the grill after our experience with the buffet. Decor is good and ambiance is nice. Service was attentive throughout. Major problem we had was that everything was oily- even white rice was oily. Salmon sashimi is even oily. I think they give it a rub down to make it look appealing. If you look at the salmon that tops the rolls it's significantly less fresh looking. For us, a large buffet with great variety and barely anything we wanted to eat. One star for food and one more for the decor and service. Will not return.

best buffet in town hands down. when this place first opened i was probably here at least twice a week since my family loves it too and sometimes my coworkers also want to go for lunch. there dinner selection is definitely much better than lunch, but it's always a good deal especially with the fresh hibachi section and the korean short ribs (galbi). i try to not eat here more than once a month now, but it's always so satisfying when i go.

SX and I came here for weekday lunch which is moderately priced at $8.99. The sushi was alright, but the fish wasn't the freshest... so, I was a bit leery to try it. It's a Chinese buffet offering sushi, so don't come and expect the best. Though, I did feel like the fish wasn't being kept in a cool enough environment. The grill section has pretty decent selection of meats, seafood (scallops, shrimp), eggs, and vegetables. There's a lot of fried items (fried shrimp, fried fish, fried crabs). There's another buffet table of greasy rolls, stuffed potatoes, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, gravy, beef stew, etc. There isn't much light fare here. The sauteed spinach was cooked perfectly with lots of sliced garlic pieces. The hot and sour soup here was pretty bad though, which was disappointing. If you opt to eat the steamed fish, be careful of scales. I had a scale issue with the piece I snagged from the buffet table. They offer a lot of fresh fruit, but other than that, the dessert section is pretty sad. They offer ice cream novelties. Service was distracted and didn't refill drinks. The decor is nice, but I'm not sure this place is necessarily cleaner. They gave us a stack of napkins, but they were dirty. Also, some of the plates seemed a bit dirty too. The good thing is that there is a lot of other customers here. So, the turn over of food is not bad.

Stopped in for lunch on Sunday and was amazed at how BIG this place is! Apparently we got there right after they opened, but my boyfriend said that he's known it to get pretty busy....I can only imagine keeping up with it! With that said, our service was pretty quick, considering it's a buffet and the only thing they really needed to do was clear our plates and get our drinks. But the buffet itself was surprisingly well stocked...they even have whole Maryland steamed crabs, and not just little tiny ones! There was a nice mix of Asian food as well as seafood, beef, and several other options. They have a sushi bar towards the back and a hibachi grill where you can personalize your meal, although I didn't partake of either on this visit. It's a little pricey, coming to almost $40 for two of us (with drinks), so if you're going to come here, bring a healthy appetite!

Huge restaurant. A respectable and diverse selection of seafood/sushi/soups/desserts/meats/random stuff. Prices are as follows: $8.99 lunch $14.99 weekend dinner $13.99 weekday dinner Compared to the other Asian buffets in the immediate vicinity, this one takes the cake. Keep in mind, it's still just a buffet! You're not going to be getting Sushi Sono quality sushi here or anything of the sort. What you will get are clean plates, a vast selection of food, and a casual atmosphere for a minimal price (especially lunch). The selections that I frequently heap on my plate are the coconut shrimp (a little sweet but still good), the beef ribs (galbi in Korean... It is a little sweet here too), the sushi, seaweed salad, crab wontons, the mussels in black bean sauce, and some of the standard Chinese American dishes. I know that there is also a Hibachi grill here where you can personalize what you want grilled, but the quality of the Hibachi is nowhere near up to par with a real Hibachi grill like Sakura Japanese Steakhouse (where I used to work). It's not terrible, but it's nothing to write home about. My issue with the Hibachi is that whatever you get ends up being being watery. I'm not sure what it is, but your selection is always swimming in this watery liquid. Not appetizing... The desserts are not bad at all though. I especially enjoyed the pre-wrapped ice cream that is found near the soups section of the buffet. I like it because I know it's clean. Unlike some other buffets where you can't tell the last time they cleaned their ice cream machines. So check it out! If you've got nowhere else planned for lunch, make it a point to try this place. You'll be glad you did (as long as you don't have sky high expectations) :)

This place rocks! I wish this restaurant to be my neighborhood, but it is not. I had a good lunch time there when I was taking a short trip in Baltimore. A large variety of food, all well flavored, meat are fresh, and cost so little.

I've never seen a worse management than this place. I had a party of six and asked for a round table. The waitress said there is a policy of only 8 people allowed to sit on those tables. We were willing to pay for the two extra seats at full price. The manager blankly said no you cannot have the table. The waitress told there were privous occasions where less than 8 were allowed to sit. I asked the manager, and his answer was,"thats because they were black and most of the customers here are black." On a side note that was my engagement with my fiancé. My previous visits to this place I have left over $10 tip every time (party of two or three). It wasn't busy at all during the time, as there were around 5-6 round tables that were open. To be objective, the food is ok. But I do hope people decide otherwise to come to this place. 他妈的台湾人经理歧视我们福州人,给黑人的位置反而不给我们福州人

Loved it! The sushi bar was medium size, thats better than most buffets who have their sushi in a corner on ice (yes really). It was prepared fresh and in your face, I liked all of that. Its not a SUSHI BAR, its a buffet so the quality was still great for even that. On top of that the food was very appetizing, I went through 4 plates, one being of just fruit, which I have to mention is LARGER THAN LIFE. Clearly not organic, but just as tasteful and fresh. Overall, everything appeared to be well cooked and made correctly, now I know other ppl have their takes on buffets, but this was a great one compared to a majority that I have been to, I would def come back to this again if given the chance and I cant say that for most places like this.

They've gone down in quality since they opened probably because of high volume and popularity. It's still a pretty good value for a huge variety of food. Maybe once a month or two is a good bet.

I just heard about this place on the radio and heard a few other people say it was good, so I thought, why not? Needless to say, it was very disappointing. I tried the chicken and broccoli and wasn't sure if it was really chicken. The BBQ ribs did not taste or look like they came from a pig or a cow. The stuffed shrimp were stuffed w/a lot of stuff. The fried rice was okay. Last, but not least, I trIed some of the desserts. First, I tried the banana pudding. There was no effort whatsoever to make it taste edible. It was a tray of chemically-tasting banana pudding, hard wafers with pieces of banana thrown in. Next, coconut cake. Instead of supermoist, it was superdry. The last dessert I tried was the carrot cake. It was actually pretty good. For this great (not) feast, we had to pay $15 per person & $6-$7.99 for children. I must say that aesthetically, the restaurant was modern and very clean, even the bathrooms, (must be why the food was so overpriced) which I'm sorry to say was the best thing about this place.

While maybe not in the most desirable locations, this place is amazing! Sushi, Chinese, seafood, hibachi, carving station, desserts.... The array of food is mind boggling. Service is top notch with the staff moving large amounts of people in and out effectively. Price is reasonable for the options and quality of food. A must try!

Tokyo Seafood Buffet is Ichiban! There's a new kid in town as far as all-you-can-eat buffets go: Tokyo Seafood Buffet at Security Mall. My omnivorous girlfriend Amy Linthicum and I checked it out last Friday on our way back from Catonsville's Trax on Wax record store. Exhausted by literally thumbing through every record bin at Trax on Wax, we plunked down our $8.49 (not as cheap at Hibachi Grill's $6.99 buffet price, but cheaper than Ruby's on Joppa Road) and partook of the plethora of pan-Asian and seafood delicacies on hand in this huge space that I think formerly housed Teppanyaki Grill & Seafood Buffet. I can now report that this is our favorite new Asian buffet! I limited myself strictly to seafood, while Amy's "I am curious carnivorous" nature insured that she added the transcendent delight that was the Korean-style beef ribs as well. Everything was grand, with the worth-making-the-trip-solely-for-this standouts being: the cooked mussels in black bean sauce, coconut shrimp, garlic spinach, ribs, and the cilantro and pork dumplings. And I almost forget the tasty kimchi! (There's a decidely Korean bent to the selections on hand here, despite the "Tokyo" in the restaurant's name; never be fooled by the alleged national origins of Baltimore's Asian restaurants, I've learned, especially after years of frequenting Towson's dearly missed Korean eatery "Tokyo Express," whose owner was the former chef at Joung Kak down on 20th Street. Most eateries around town are run by Koreans but often employ Japanese or Chinese names because their cuisine is more familiar to or popular with local non-Asian yokels.) Besides the usual soup, salad bar and ice cream buffet selections, Tokyo also boasts an open kitchen which includes a sushi bar and a hibachi (or is it teppanyaki?) grill where you can watch the chefs prepare your Korean BBQ, yakitori beef and chicken, Peking Duck, soups, prime rib, oyster, salmon and other delicacies. We plan to go back to try EVERYTHING because, well, Amy is also an Asian Buffet Completist!

I brought my dad here as a special treat since he looooves sushi. Hell, he loves food. Period. Throw sushi in the mix and we're there. Holy Chopsticks! This place has buffet line after buffet line after...you get the point...of food, glorious food!! They have things I've never before laid eyes on O.o My dad was like a kid in a candy store. I had sushi and those fried donut things. You know...the one's coated with sugar that you KNOW you have no business even looking at. Yeah. Those. I bit into one of those things and felt a little grease run out of it. It was like liquid gold. I thought I was going to die right then and there. Whyyyyyy didn't I save any room for their massive dessert selection :( ? I live to fight another day. Oh, I'll be back. Next time, I'm starting with dessert and working my way backwards :)

Pay as you enter don't forget your drink the hostess will seat you show the receipt to the waitress then dig in.

"Be afraid. Be very afraid." This place is... overwhelming. Arriving with a group of 10 on Mother's Day for lunch (we thought this would be the fastest lunch option for a group of non-moms), it was every man for himself. I felt like Simba in the midst of a growing pack of hungry hyenas. Upon regaining my composure and a few words with the frazzled host (must thank mom for all those years of Chinese school), we were seated in record time- less than 10 minutes. Score! The (very) Good: - steamed sea bass: melt in your mouth perfect - lightly sauced and sauteed shrimp/squid/scallops - kalbi: this disappears fast, so act fast! - sauteed spinach The Bad: - baby back ribs: too dry - sushi bar: decent variety of mediocrity - all the desserts: standard buffet fare here, even the chocolate fountain failed to impress. (In the interest of full disclosure, I actually ate entire slices of ALL 4 cakes, with ice cream, drizzled in chocolate from the fountain. I never claimed to have self control...) The Ugly: - the entire aisle of greasy fried fake Chinese Tips: This seems to be an amazing deal for weekday lunch. Endless options and instant gratification- yours for the taking at $8.99. Also, do not lose the ticket they give you with your receipt when you pay at the door. The waiter/waitress that seats you will need it. I think I need a game plan for next time. A surf and turf of sea bass and kalbi, supplemented with all the fresh Asian veggies I can eat. Hold the dessert.

I've been here several times for different occasions -- business lunches, family dinners. As much as I want to like the place, the food is not fresh. Stay away from the coconut shrimp. It looks tempting, but it's bound to make you sick.

  • Norman H.

One of the biggest buffet spots I've seen. Ample seating; like any other place, if you've got a big party, call ahead for a reservation. The food selection was good - blue crabs, short ribs, seafood, sushi, salmon sashimi, and ice cream! They have ice cream sandwiches and ice cream cups, so there's no mess with the machine. Docked one star because service was almost nonexistent on the busy Saturday night. Had to wait a while for water/sodas to be refilled, and plates to be removed. It is $20 (with soda)...$16 without. At least tip is included already.

Now for $9.99 per person you may think you've hit the jackpot considering it's a seafood buffet, but the quality of the food here sucks! Everything is either deepfried, drenched in butter and cream or overcooked to nothingness. The sushi rolls were made with rather old and cold rice, you couldn't really taste the fish, the soft shelled crabs were drenched in batter and deep fried that you couldn't really taste the crab at all. The Chinese entrees were probably the best of the buffet but there really wasnt anything I wanted to go back for seconds. Well maybe the fresh Lychee. I tried the calamari in various dishes, it was all way too overcooked and chewie. The different fish fillets they had were swimming in broken butter sauces- again to a pulp so you couldn't really taste the fish. The desserts tasted fake- I don't even know how you can make food taste fake?! But it tasted like something that would come out of a playdough kitchen. So all in all, sure if you're hungry and you can't find anything else around ( I would probably just hit up the other buffets in the mall if I had to Lal Qila and O's place seem to have better quality if not the same variety of food) but it isnt something I would go back for.

im originally from new york and i would say taht this buffet is not bad at all.. there is a large selection of chinese food and seafood and others such as kimchi, pizza, potatoes and fries...they have a sushi section which isnt that great but they have a create your own hibachi section which is pretty cool. Regular buffet was $16.99 and there was a lobster buffet for $23.99 where you get a lobster to eat. Overall this place was amazing :)!!

  • Hung T.

As with many buffets, freshness may not be highlight of the restaurant but this place does have a lot of variety. There is a surprising amount of seafood (duh hence the name) but it is mostly fried or heavy. They have a mongolian grill and sushi bar too but I didn't try that. I'm pretty wary of chinese buffets offering sushi. It usually is not fresh, dry, and tasteless. The meat station wasn't great. They had prime rib that was very very fatty and chewy and the steak was super tough. Probably my favorite thing there were the salted frog legs. Tastes pretty on point and I've had legit frog legs in Vietnam so yeah. Prices were kinda high too, i think i paid $18 for dinner. I probably won't go here unless I have a group of friends going.

I was on a diet but made an exception to eat here for a luncheon celebrating my cousin's baby christening. We had a semi-private room with long tables and attentive waiters. I am usually leery of buffets, but this one was impressive. I love sushi and the sushi here totally hit the spot. It looked and tasted fresh ( though I do think they could provide better tongs for serving). The prime rib was tender and delicious, and the scallop dish served in clam shells was quite yummy too. I tried one dessert but it wasn't as chocolatey as I had hoped. I would have tried the chocolate fountain but I was in a food coma by then. This is a great place to take hungry friends and relatives, and makes for good conversation to just talk about all the food. Ambiance is upscale casual with leather chairs and dim lighting. Nice to see a very multiracial crowd getting together under one roof all in the name of good food at a great price.

I am just gonna keep this one brief. If and I mean IF you like to be constantly running into people, having your group of people being separated into different tables, dealing with the massive crowd of yelling and shouting people. Then by all means, this place is your heaven! The only reason this place gets 3 stars from me, is that I was quite impressed with the quality of food. I had sushi, mussels, sweet and sour chicken, freshly cut fruit which were all very delicious. Topped off with NY style cheesecake for dessert. Yummy! We sat with my wife's family right in front of us and it was hard to hear them because it was so loud.

I tried this place on a whim. I'm a nerd, so I researched all the Chinese buffets in the area. I decided to come her because it was close to Security Mall (Not my favorite mall, but a mall nonetheless). I must say this was one of the best seafood buffets that I've been to. The food was good and fresh and the coconut shrimp was really good. I don't eat fried foods, but I indulged with the crab cakes and they were made with real crab meat and imitation "krab". The only downside was the $16 tab (Drink included). I've never paid that much for a buffet, but I'll admit that the price was worth it. I will go again!!

Came here for Christmas and the food was really good. They have a lot of different seafood including, shrimp cocktail, steamed shrimp, oysters, marlyand crabs, scallops, sushi, fish, lobster bisque, crab soup, and other non-seafood selections. For an extra $6 bucks you can add on a whole full sized lobster. The decor was nice and the waitress was very friendly. She kept our drinks filled & our table bussed. I will be going back whenever I'm in that area again.

The Best All You Can Eat Buffet i've been to yet. Clean beautiful looking Restaurant. Food wasn't looking sloppy and just thrown in the serving area. Presentation was fabulous. Not a place to go if you're over weight and trying to loose some pounds cause you will try just about everything they have to offer thats why i need to stay away from these spots or just stick to the baked or steamed Clams and Crabs....i forget the name of the clams i had but i was looking for Mussels which they didn't have and hope they will soon, but the sauce on these miniature clams was spectacular! Swear i ate bout 50 lol....A bit pricey for 16 dollars a person but i think its well worth it.

This place is actually quite big. With a lot of choices. Unfortunately, those seem to be the choices between a douche and a turd sandwich. Which is what I think that stink coming off the dumpling vat was. The Coconut Shrimp were AMAZING. The duck was moist. That's where the good food ends. My dining partner found the crab rangoon too sweet and I have to agree. Why add sugar? Makes no sense. The ice cream comes in these little tiny cups that are harder than Bill Clinton at a strip club. You'd have to wait an hour for it to melt before eating it. Food was cold event tho sitting in hot tubs...Kinda weird. Would have given a 3 star if the server had brought at least one refill or cleared a plate....But no, she kind of sat stood over us as we were about to leave. Kinda like that doll in Poltergeist. No not Craig T. Nelsons acting in the movie, I mean the actual Clown Doll in the boys room. Just stood grinning. So she didn't do a damn thing the whole time, Then frowned when we didn't tip...For what? We served ourselves. No refills and cleared nothing. I'd say skip this.

Tokyo Seafood Buffet is one of the best buffets I've been too. It offers a 10 percent military discount, has a decent sushi bar, variety of dim sum, hibachi, awesome seafood and Chinese food, and a salad/fruit bar. The service provided is excellent, drinks are refilled without even being asked. It is decently priced and you rarely have to wait to be seated!

Taste good, but not enough for 5 stars. The seafood not as fresh as your expecting especially the crab sucks. The price is much higher than the tranditional Chinese buffet(we paid total 36 bucks for two of us). I might be back for lunch rather than dinner.

Once you get passed the location Tokyo Seafood is worth the trip. They have such great value for your buck on every dish they serve. So many seafood choices, fresh rolled sushi and sashimi, grilled marinated octopus, broiled tilapia seasoned with ginger and garlic, bang bang shrimp, baked salmon, clams, oysters, marinated muscles, crab cakes, soft shell crabs baked, and even seaweed salad. Good old fashioned fried chicken and biscuits, mashed potatoes, southern style corn bread, fries, collard greens, fresh garden salad and BBQ ribs, New York Steaks, Top Roast sirloin for the none seafood lovers. Amore included for the Italian pasta lovers, bake meaty lasagna, shrimp scampi, shrimp and chicken Alfredo, baked ziti the list goes on and on. Wait there's more how about some ice cream bar, fruit salad, lots of pies, cookies and cakes to choose from. Ok you hungry yet? You should only come with an empty tummy or else you won't get to really enjoy Tokyo Seafood Buffet the only one I really will go to in Woodlawn.

I love the coconut shrimp, lo mein, and fried rice, and salad bar here. Their corn bread is to die for as well. My hubby loves their mashed potatoes, fish, and rolls. It is quite difficult for a Chinese-run buffet to impress me, but it did. Please note that I have adjusted the star system for geographic location - this place probably would not survive in New York City. Food: the whole crab station was great - I probably had eight myself. There was an impressive array of fruit, vegetables, cooked fish et al. The ice cream was unimpressive and needed improvement. Service: quite responsive with the tea-pouring! Decor: relatively clean, but it was quite dark during lunchtime...makes me wonder what they are hiding. This place was difficult to find - look for Macy's! GPS does NOT lead you directly here.

I came here with a bunch of co-workers for our weekly Friday lunch. We came just before noon, right before it got crowded, so I'm guessing people like this place. The buffet is mostly a lot of greasy Asian food and is very heavy on the fried stuff. Fried wonton cheese, fried dumplings, fried spring rolls, fried shrimp, fried whatever. It's good if you're interested in getting a lot of greasy Asian food and you want multiple plates of it, but otherwise it didn't really impress me. The buffet itself is very big, but again I don't feel like there is much variety. The sushi section just seems like variations off of the California and Philly rolls and the people behind the sushi bar were a bit rude. The salad bar was lacking in quality and the desserts were lackluster. I did like the cups of ice cream they had though. They had orange ice cream, which is one of my favorites. So that's really the big plus in this place. I did not sample the bathrooms based on the Yelp reviews. I did feel like the floors and tables were a bit dirty and not very clean though.
